It's no wonder that my favorite part of the day is morning~ who wouldn't love waking up to a latte and the Wall Street Journal? Okay, so not everyone would, but as a kid who was raised by a teacher and an accountant, it's just what I do. I love to learn and am constantly striving to gain industry knowledge that will help my clients. 

 I grew up in the mountains of Virginia, the youngest of seven children. Negotiation and collaboration was part of survival for us. My civic minded parents encouraged us all to do what we could to make the world a better place than we found it. I took that to heart when after completing an undergraduate degree at Radford University and a Master of Public Administration from NC State, I began a 10-year career in the public sector. I completed a fellowship at NC Department of Commerce then worked as a fiscal analyst for the NC Legislature. My primary role was to serve both the House and Senate as they developed their budgets then help them agree to a compromise budget. It was the perfect training ground for honing my analytical and negotiating skills to become a top producing Realtor. 

I have never forgotten the directive my parents gave me to do my part to make the world a better place. As such, I have volunteered in many capacities for several non-profits. I am past-president of the SAFEchild board of directors, Jr. League of Raleigh Sustainer and a member of the Leadership Raleigh 34 Class. 

As owner of Real Properties, I am thrilled to be able to offer the best technological resources available. However, even in the age of technology, I never forget that it's the human touch that means the most. I pride myself on offering exceptional service before, during, and after the sale. I work to build relationships, not just close transactions. I have found putting clients first and truly caring more about what is best for them leads to the most rewarding experience for all involved.
